    About the Meeting:
    Joshua Skolnick, an expert in the area of Customized Employment will present on this topic. Joshua has been working providing Individualized Employment Services for the past 25 years, most recently as Director of Employment Services at HeartShare Human Services of New York. In December, Josh was given the opportunity to take a similar position in Cape Cod, MA, where he is now the Director of Employment at LIFE - Living Independently Forever. Along with his work in Employment, Josh was active in the Self-Direction movement Start-up and Support Broker, having successfully brokered some of the first plans to come out of NYC.

    Susan Kittle of the New York Alliance will also provide an update about upcoming meetings, events, initiatives and projects for members!

    *Special Parking instructions: Please do not park in the lot of the Mahopac Library. Carpool if possible. And if not alternate parking options are available:

    • Street parking available directly behind the Mahopac Library on Marina Drive. (Google directions for the MacDonald Marine, Mahopac, NY for directions)

    • Lot parking diagonally across from the library – Putnam Trailway Parking - the entrance is on Mt. Hope Road.

    About the New York Alliance Regional Meetings:

    The New York Alliance for Inclusion and Innovation offers Regional Meetings in all regions throughout the year. All members are invited to participate in these meetings to network with other providers from their region, to get the latest information on what is happening within the region, the State, nationally, and to get updates on what the New York Alliance is currently working on.

    Additionally, Regional Meetings are an opportunity to hear topical speakers on issues currently relevant to our members. Past speakers have included:

    - OPWDD speaker discussing areas such as Care Coordination, HCBS Community Rule, Incident Review;
    - OFPC speaker discussing requirements and trends in fire safety; and
    - Members of the #bFair2DirectCare Coalition discussing workforce challenges and the campaign activities.

    Agency staff at all levels of the organization are welcome to participate! Meeting dates will be posted on the New York Alliance website as they are scheduled.
