    NY Alliance Members,

    Due to the potential impacts of the Novel Coronavirus (Covid 19) and in accordance with guidance from the New York State Department of Health and Governor Cuomo’s announcement regarding a ban on gatherings with 500 or more people, the NY Alliance with the greatest regret is canceling/postponing our 2020 Annual Conference and all activities that would have taken place from March 31-April 1.

    This includes the Pre-Conference, Annual Conference, Art Exhibit and Reception, etc. If you previously registered for the conference and paid a registration fee, an NY Alliance staff person will be in touch regarding a refund of your registration fees and any additional charges.

    The Sagamore has shared with us that room reservations for the Conference will be automatically cancelled by The Sagamore. Anyone who provided an e-mail address for the reservation will receive a confirmation back that their reservation has been cancelled. We will then start the process of refunding the $35.00 deposit taken at the time of the reservation. Guests do not need to call reservations directly to cancel.

    We remain committed to providing our members and partners with support through this challenge, but at this time we do not believe that it would be in the best interest of our members/partners, our staff, and the general public to be holding in-person meetings which could facilitate the spread of the disease. Furthermore, we do not want to interfere with efforts aimed at containing the virus or dealing with potential exposures, which may likely necessitate a complete focus. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and look forward to reconvening at the appropriate time.
