New York Alliance Data Initiative

The New York Alliance is working with New York University and The Approach Group Consulting Firm to bring a new level of data analytics to the I/DD field through its data project.  Using Medicaid claims data, the initial round of the data project will deliver two reports to all I/DD providers in the State as part of the Managed Care Community of Practice Grant from the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities.  From there, the project is intended to evolve into customized data reporting capabilities for individual agencies using a Medicaid database with access to claims back to 2006.  Additionally, the project will seek to incorporate additional data elements such as qualitative measures, Consolidated Fiscal Reports (CFR), and Medicare claims.

Although the initial reports are being developed for all I/DD providers in the State, additional customized reporting will be made available for New York Alliance members on an ongoing basis. The data project being brought to scale by the New York Alliance is one of the first of its kind in the country in the I/DD sector and we are pleased to offer this service as part of our ongoing commitment to our members.
