Reopening Resources

    As Governor Cuomo begins to outline the process for returning to onsite work, many employers are trying to sort out how best to transition employees back to onsite work. Included below are links to helpful resources with more information about the process of reopening and bringing staff back to the workplace.

    Governor Cuomo Reopening Requirements: 
    • Governor Cuomo has outlined his plan for businesses to begin re-opening on a regional basis if certain metrics are met. A listing of the requirements and regional progress against those metrics can be found here.

    Forward.NY.GovNew York will reopen on a regional basis as each region meets the criteria necessary to protect public health as businesses reopen. This link includes information about the different phases for reopening and requirements for staff to return to work.

    Reopening Requirements for I/DD Facilities with Business Operations - Businesses affiliated with any agency that have continued to operate as an essential health care operation are subject to the reopening requirements (i.e. manufacturing facility as part of your operation). This link includes helpful guidance depending on your particular business (manufacturing, retail, etc…).

    **Employers will be required to have written safety plans and certify to New York that they will comply with New York Forward guidelines.**
